The Beginning of Elegance – Kimono Selection
This exclusive experience takes place at Madame Okagaki’s home and salon, where guests are welcomed into an intimate setting rarely open to the public.
With over 50 years of expertise in the kimono industry, Madame Okagaki has curated an extraordinary collection of pure silk kimonos. For this occasion, her treasured garments are unveiled and offered for you to wear—an opportunity few ever encounter.
First, you will select your kimono from a curated collection of pure silk garments.
Our staff will guide you in choosing a piece that complements both the season and your personal style, ensuring an elegant start to your experience.

Artistry in Motion – Kimono Dressing & Hair Styling
Next, a professional dresser will carefully drape the kimono, combining comfort with elegance.
Your look will be completed with a refined hairstyle, perfectly suited for this special occasion.
(Approx. 60 min)

Shrine Etiquette & Cultural Insight
After dressing, you will visit a shrine and experience the etiquette and gestures of worship while walking through the grounds.
You will be gently guided through the beauty of bowing and the proper way to pray at a shrine.
Through these graceful movements, you will quietly experience the spirit of respect that underlies Japanese culture.
As this is not a tourist site, you can enjoy a calm and unhurried atmosphere.

In Case of Rain or hot weather – Indoor Cultural Experience

Regardless of the weather, the essence of the experience remains unchanged.
In the event of rain or extreme heat, as going outdoors in kimono can be difficult, the experience will take place indoors.
A symbolic purification space will be arranged indoors, allowing you to learn each step of shrine etiquette with care.
You may also enjoy a relaxed indoor photo session.
Traditional props such as wagasa umbrellas, folding fans, and a photo backdrop are prepared to beautifully capture your kimono experience.
(hot weather : mid-June~mid-September)

Afterward, you will attend a lecture on the etiquette of kaiseki cuisine.

No meal is served, allowing you to focus in a calm, relaxed setting.
These refined gestures convey appreciation for the ingredients, the chefs, and your dining companions.
The insight into history, tableware, and refined manners will make your future dining experiences in Japan more elegant, graceful, and deeply fulfilling. (Approx. 30 min)
