At the reconstructed Amagasaki Castle in the city center, you can travel back in time to the Edo period in the VR theater, experience games using guns and swords, and have your photo taken dressed up as a ninja, warrior, or princess.

３．Town atmosphere: Historical stroll in the temple town / 町の風情：寺町で歴史散策

Right next to Amagasaki Castle spreads Teramachi, a district that retains traces of the Edo period.

Along the street lined with 11 historic temples, you can enjoy traditional Japanese culture and a quiet space while collecting “Goshuin” stamps.
A “Goshuin” is a beautiful memento of your trip, carefully stamped in ink and vermilion as proof that you have visited a temple.

At Honkoji Temple, you can see the “Juzumaru Tsunetsugu,” a nationally designated Important Cultural Property, and feel Japanese samurai culture right there.

１１の歴史あるお寺が並ぶ通りでは、『御朱印』を集めながら日本の伝統文化や静かな空間を楽しむことができます。

本興寺には、国の重要文化財に指定されている「数珠丸恒次」が所蔵されており、日本の武士文化を感じることができます。

In the spring / 春

In spring, there is a cherry blossom viewing event where you can enjoy the approximately 500 cherry trees at Nishimuko Park.
There are food stalls and a stage during the day, and at night the cherry trees are lit up with pink lanterns.

春は西武庫公園の約５００本の桜を楽しむお花見があります。

In the summer / 夏

In the summer, there is the traditional Kifunejinja Festival.
This summer festival has been held for about 300 years, and involves a parade of danjiri floats through the town.
Danjiri are traditional Japanese floats with wheels that are used in local festivals across Japan, mainly in western Japan.

夏は伝統文化である、貴布禰神社夏季大祭(尼崎だんじり祭り)。
約３００年前から続く尼崎の夏の風物詩で、だんじりが町を歩くお祭りです。
だんじりとは車輪のついた山車(だし)で、西日本を中心に各地に伝わる伝統的な信仰の一種です。

In autumn, visit the Mukogawa Cosmos Garden, one of the largest in the Kansai region.
Colorful cosmos flowers bloom along the riverbank.
Admission is free, and you can enjoy the beauty of the flowers at your leisure.

In the winter / 冬

In winter, the Toka Ebisu Festival is held at Amagasaki Ebisu Shrine.

It is customary to attach money to a large tuna in hopes of prosperous business, and many people visit the shrine every year, making it a lively and bustling place.
